Box Notes

Green Beans are making their first appearance this week! The first of the green beans are always the best, tender, fast-cooking and so flavorful!

Summer Sausage Special:

10 lb case of Assorted Sausages for $80. The case includes 8-10 packages of 4 sausage types: Bratwurst, Breakfast, Mild Italian and Hot Italian. The sausages are made with Riverdog Farm pastured pork, processed at our local butcher shop Manas Custom Meats in Esparto. Please email the farm by Monday to place your order for the week csa@riverdogfarm.com.


Field Notes

It’s a scorcher this week! Today, Monday is expected to be 106 degrees! We will finish the harvest day early to avoid the hottest time of the day which happens between 3 pm and 5 pm. Over the weekend, there was a 277 acre grassland fire in Brooks, about 5 miles south of the farm.  It is 100% contained. CalFire took about 24 hours to put out the fire.
